Charisma had been going through papers, doing boring paperwork, still surprised, even after these years that Heaven of all places had paperwork. The thought made her shake her head when the phone rang beside her. Picking it up, she listened to the voice on the other end, saying nothing. After minutes, there was a dial tone. She sighed and put down the phone. Getting up from her desk, she disappeared with a bright light and re-appeared in what Heaven called the 'Sitting Room'. It was a room of bright colors, cheer, happiness, and calm. It had been made to welcome new young people who'd recently died and been sent to Heaven. And that's where she came in to welcome them.

Helena who always even though had her own beliefs and doubted her overly religious fathers words about heaven and hell figured once she died she just be thrown in the ground and that was it. Then again she didn't think she was gonna die so young and horribly either. The Gasoline had been burning at her skin and smelt awful but it was nothing compared to what she felt when her father struck the match and turned his back on her as he dropped it in her lap.
Many people never expected others to be able to kill their own flash and blood but that was exactly what happened to her. A single fight well more of a battle as the fight had been ongoing for sometime came to a end of flames and smoke. Screaming as the heat had melted her clothes and blistered her skin she wished for a quick death then and there but it was a good while before peace fell over her.
She had seen the light as that final breath finally left her body. leaving it burnt and lifeless. but it had been a good while before she finally went to it. Wanting to stay behind and torment her father in the way he had her. But the curiosity won out and now she stood in a room that in her taste was far to bright. She looked around and inspected herself. expecting to find herself horribly burned and mutilated.
But there was no damage. Helena looked normal except for a weird foreign glow to her skin that even though was not unearthly it looked natural just a bit out of place. Blue eyes scanned the area and she was expecting to wake up and it all be a dream but she knew that it wasn't a dream as the pain that got her here was far from imaginary.
Her father had been right about the heaven and hell dimensions but he was wrong on the idea that who you were was what got you to either place. it was your actions that determined it and she was pretty sure her father was gonna be swallowed by the ground.

Charisma turned as she saw a flash of light and there stood the first of many to come, and a female at that. She stepped forward and offered a welcoming smile, one that was soothing and serene. "Welcome," she said, offering her hand to the girl. She always kept up with the times and such. The different mannerisms, dialogue, etc of each time period. It made things easier when talking and trying to walk through new recruits.

Helena had continued to inspect her new surroundings when she heard the voice of a woman speak. Looking around one last time she diverted her attention to the woman and gave a small smile. It wasn't much as it barely reached her eyes as she was still trying to determine everything and set facts straight in her mind.
Her black t-shirt clung to her body the intricate skull design on the front and her black skinny jeans seeming to be the only darker color in the current location. She twirled the strand of pink that was in her hair around her finger idly as she greeted the woman with a silent nod before she spoke,
"Um, Hi."
Helena wasn't exactly sure how to go about everything of course she had the feeling she wasn't the only one nor had the feeling that she would be the last. She shifted her feet the soles of her converse sneakers making a faint tapping noise on the marble floor.

Antony blinked, his eyes adjusting to the light.
The last thing he remembered was the terrified adrenaline rush as the out-of-control chevy lunged towards his car. Then blackness. Then this light.
The light faded into a much dimmer source--a flood light on the ceiling. The light illuminated a soothing room, one that made him relax just slightly. Instantly, his eyes fell on two women speaking in the center of the room. He was too late to catch their conversation, but one looked hopelessly confused.
... Yep. He was dreaming.

Charisma smiled and was about to reply when the newcomer blinked in. She smiled, offering a smile.
"Please, the both you, come and take a seat," she said, moving so they could both see the group of chairs behind her. They were of a variety; wood chairs, bar stools, pillows, loveseats, and bean bags. Something for everyone.
She went and took her own seat at the head of the room, looking towards Antony, "No, my dear, you are not dreaming."

((whoops, sorry))
Antony blinked. He hadn't said that out loud, had he?
"Er... then where am I?" He asked, still believing himself to be in a dream. No way things go from car crash to waiting room that fast.

Helena crossed her arms and continued looking around, spotting the man standing not to far from her. Her blue eyes continued to scan the room as she slowly made her way to a seat. This was awkward and she was beginning to think someone drugged her but she dismissed that thought as soon as it came because she knew for a fact being set on fire and the pain that was caused by the hot flames was not a hallucination. Choosing a beanbag that was purple she plopped down on it and continue to inspect her surroundings. Maybe their was a comment and suggestion box with pen and paper sitting around somewhere she was gonna suggest interior decorator. or some sun glasses.

Charisma smiled at Helena and snapped her fingers. The brightness of the room dimmed down to a nice soft tone.
"Better?" she asked her.
To the others, she motioned towards them. "Is everyone alright? Do any of you need to change before we begin?"

Post by Mei-Hui Smith on Sept 4, 2010 6:24:05 GMT -5
Mei-Hui's eye's widened as she saw the beautiful -yet a little bright- sitting room which she now found herself in. A millisecond ago, Mei-Hui had been staring up into the deep brown eye's of her love as his tears fell onto her cheeks. The pain in her chest was excruciating, the knife sticking horizontally up from her limp body.
There were three people in the room, though their skin radiated a soft un-earthly light. One was a tall brunette woman, a pretty blonde girl with pink streaks in her hair, and a handsome guy with cute blonde curls. All were caucasian. Mei suddenly felt very out of place.
Suddenly rembering what she had felt like moments before, she grasped at her chest where she expected to find a butchers knife.
Nothing.
Her hand's were pristine, no blood or dirt at all. She lifted her hands to her head. Her jet black hair was sleek and straight down her back.
"Where am I?" she whispered in Chinese.

So, Rain thought to himself, It was true after all. There was life after death. He knew he was gonna die the moment he flew off his motorcycle as he tried to avoid hitting a pedestrian-- it was a young woman, crossing the street. He wondered if she was okay... He didn't know what happened after he closed his eyes. There was pain, right around his head area but it was quick. He didn't see any dark tunnel with light at the end of it, instead he woke up to this: a well-lighted room with other strangers... He wondered if this was Heaven. Or Hell... He wasn't an angel that's for sure. He didn't believe in Heaven or Hell when he was living, so he still had this feeling that this place, whatever it was, might not be either. He looked around, eyes falling on faces of people that seemed to be there before him.

Helena's head snapped to the side and she looked at the brunette woman who had been speaking. She had not said that out loud. She was a hundred percent positive she hadn't spoken out loud.
"What the hell? I didn't say that out loud. How did you know I found it to bright in this place? Whatever this place is. I have a pretty good idea though where I am. Clarification would be nice though."
She spotted a oriental girl off to the side. Her language choice all though she did not under stand it and her looks giving away where she was from, or her nationality at least. Tucking her hair behind her ears she played with the simple lock of pink hair and continued to inspect the area surrounding her.

Do you really think there is a real heaven and we will see our family friends etc in an afterlife or is it all just a coping thing to help you deal with someone being GONE..
