Character InformationName:Mei-Hui Smith
Age: 19
Affiliation: Heaven
Personality: Mei-Hui is a loving and gentle soul. She enjoy's company and attention, which she missed a lot when she was a child.
She longs to know her mother, to say she forgives her for abandoning her as a child.
She deeply loves her House Mothers, and though she longs to leave them, her heart still loves them.
Bai is the love of her life -and death- and shevwishes to give him everything she is. Although shhe is sweet and kind deep down, she
still has hatred for the children in her primary school who tormented and bullied her. She hates the man who raped her mother, and dispises the fact that she shares his name, and genetics.
Mei-Hui loves the arts, and could read a whole novel in a day, in English or Chinese. She flourishes with a paint brush, and wanted to make a career of her art.
Background: Mei-Hui (meaning beautiful wisdom) was born in Singapore to a 16 year old child. Her mother Xia was a runaway,
paying her way in the world by selling her body. The man whom she had conceived Mei-Hui went only by the name Smith, so her daughters
family name also became Smith. Xia brought the newborn baby up as well she could for two months, but when the child caught cold, she
abandoned her to a nearby childrens home. This is where Mei-Hui grew up, in the care of kind yet elderly house mothers. When she was three,
Mei-Hui would play with the other children and was cared for by the older ones. The 12 and 13 year old girls thought of her as a doll, or a plaything
and would dress her up and play mother to her. Mei-Hui craved their attention as the house mothers were to preoccupied with the naughty or sick children to care for her.
When she was 5 Mei-Hui was enrolled in the local infants school, and she quickly excelled in drawing and reading, and found a natural affinity with drawing.
When she progressed up to Primary School, she was picked on because she came from the Childrens Home. The torment became so bad that the House Mothers withdrew her from school,
and taught her at home. She was allowed to study whatever she took a liking too, so she was able to spend her days sketching flowers and reading long sections of books to the sleeping babies or
to the House Mothers in the kitchen. When she hit 13, she was a bright and naturally beautiful child, with a sharp mind and warm heart.
yet she got lonely in the day when all the children who were school age disappeard to attend school, and she was left with the Elderly House Mothers. Though she loved them vey much, she craved interaction
with children of her own age, so she was enrolled in the Secondady School near the Childrens Home.
Although confused for the first few weeks, she quickly made friends, and became very attached to a boy names Bai. They would walk home together, play together and read books to each other.
As their friendship grew deeper, and one Mei-Hui's 16th Brithday, after the small party they had had at the Childrens home, MEi-Hui and Bai kissed passionetly in the garden.
Their love was a banished one as Bai was from a wealthy and respected family, and he would never be allowed to marry Mei-Hui. They had to hide their love,
only showing affection in secret. This carried on for 3 more years. Mei-Hui and Bair learnt English together, planning to run away together to Europe when they hit 20.
As they were leaving their school library, Mei-Hui and Bai were approached by a homeless bum, he threatened them with a knife demanding money, and when the Teenagers explained they had none, the mane lunged the knife into
Mei-Hui's chest before fleeing into an alley. Bai called an ambulence on his cell phone, yet he knew Mei-Hui would not survive the journey. His tears fell on her pale cheeks as she lay dying in his arms.
He kissed her over and over until she took her last breath and died, curled in his bloodsoaked arms.
Third Person RP Sample: Mei-Hui looked up and down the promanade. The beach in front of her was filled with tourists,
their bodies turning more and more red and blistered by the second. The sun was glistening on the sea, and the people without sunglasses were sheilding their eyes or heading for the parasoles.
California beaches we're normally packed, and Mei-Hui enjoyed watching people have fun. When she had first died, the one thing she wished she had had time to experience was diffrent cultures. When she had woken as an Angel, the first thing she asked was to see the world!
She smiled at the memory, yet sadness turned her smile into a frown, as she she had always expected to experience this with her love, Bai.
A tear rolled down her cheek at the thought of him: was he happy? had he moved on?
Mei-Hui's culture was big on anchestors and ghost, and an angel was close to a ghost right? Perhaps it wasn't over with Bai, peraps their love can survive.
